After a sensational shooting performance in Game 2, the Boston Celtics tied up their series with the Milwaukee Bucks 1-1.

The series is in Milwaukee now, with Game 3 taking place today. This series has been defined by physical play, hot shooting and star power. The line has moved to within two points, showing the oddsmakers expect the first close game of the series. 

Instead of diving deep into the outcome of the game, let’s look at how it will take place – with player props. Here are three player props to look at for Game 3.

Jayson Tatum UNDER 30.5 Points (-115)

This isn’t to say Tatum is set to have a bad game, but 31 points is a lot in this series.

Tatum hasn’t cleared this line in three of his last four games. Milwaukee is forcing Tatum –  and the rest of the Celtics – to be a jump shooter. The easy buckets at the rim aren’t going to be there with Antetokounmpo, Brook Lopez and Bobby Portis all at the rim. Tatum is going to be in a lot of drive-and-kick situations, getting the ball out of his hands.

Don’t expect an explosion of points for Tatum on the road.

Giannis Antetokounmpo OVER 30.5 Points (-115)

Giannis Antetokounmpo is having a terrible shooting performance in this series. He’s shooting less than 40% from the field and is STILL averaging 26 points per game. We saw in the third quarter of Game 2 that he can flip the switch and simply bully everyone at the rim.

I think that it’s going to be hard to keep him down every game this series and that the “wall” Boston is throwing at him is set to fall today.

Eventually, Antetokounmpo’s talent will rise above the likes of Grant Williams. That day is today.

Bobby Portis OVER 14.5 Points (-115)

Who would I be to not acknowledge how fantastic Bobby Portis has been in this series.

Even in a blowout in which he only played 26 minutes, Portis scored 13 points. He was 5-for-7 from the floor, but didn’t hit a three. Portis is a key part of the Bucks’ offense and the attempts from three will be plentiful and successful today.

As long as he’s on the floor for 30 minutes or more, this line makes sense for Portis – especially at home.
