3 Best Prop Bets for Giants vs. Dodgers Game 3 of NLDS

The Los Angeles Dodgers knotted the NLDS up at 1 against the San Francisco Giants on Saturday night, and now return home with their eyes set on a 2-1 series lead.

The Dodgers are considerable favorites in this matchup with Cy Young candidate Max Scherzer on the mound, but there are other ways to get involved in the action such as WynnBET's serving of player props.

Here are three to hit on in the pivotal Game 3.

Max Scherzer OVER 7.5 Strikeouts (-125)

Scherzer has dominated Giants hitters in the past, allowing a sub-.200 batting average and a 40% strikeout rate over his career.

Since joining the Dodgers, he has struck out nearly 12 batters per nine innings. While I'm not expecting a complete game effort from 'Mad Max,' I see him clearing this strikeout prop early. With his elite command and experience in the postseason, I see him going somewhere around six innings and punching out at least nine batters.

Alex Wood UNDER 5.5 Strikeouts (-125)

Scherzer has thrived against the Giants, but the same can't be said for Wood, who has allowed a .321 batting average to his former team.

Not to mention, Wood doesn't typically go long into games, averaging just over five innings this season. At the first sign of trouble, San Francisco manager Gabe Kapler could make a move to the team's trusty bullpen.

Wood would need more than a strikeout per inning and I don't see him hitting that mark against a disciplined Dodgers lineup that is bottom 10 in strikeout rate this season.

Justin Turner to Hit a Home Run (+315)

Turner has had Wood's number over his career, taking him yard twice in 19 at bats. The third baseman doesn't have a hit this series yet, but comes in with six home runs over the past month.

Yes, Turner has less dingers against left handed pitching this season, 10 compared 17 against righties, but in the likely chance that Wood is chased from the game, Turner can rake against the Giants bullpen. I'll take a flier on him to go deep.
