3 Best Prop Bets for Giants vs. Dodgers NLDS Game 4
By Peter Dewey
The defending World Series champion Los Angeles Dodgers have their backs against the wall in Game 4 of the NLDS against the San Francisco Giants.
Los Angeles was shut out in Game 3, 1-0, and will need to rebound with Walker Buehler on the mound against the Giants' Anthony DeSclafani. We have a full preview for the game here.
But what about some props? With Buehler going on short rest, here are some props that I have my eye on with all odds via WynnBET Sportsbook:
Anthony DeSclafani OVER 3.5 Hits Allowed (-120)
I know the Dodgers offense struggled in Game 3, but they have teed off on DeSclafani this season, hitting .300 as a team over his six starts against them.
Los Angeles has tallied 33 hits, 22 runs and six home runs in 27.0 innings against Giants right-hander this year, and he has an 0-3 record in those six games.
Even though the Giants may pull DeSclafani early, I think the Dodgers can scratch four or more hits off of him before the night is over.
Race to Two Runs -- Dodgers (-120)
Sticking with my fade DeSclafani theme, I’m going to take the Dodgers to strike first essentially and score two runs before the Giants.
Los Angeles isn’t going to go down easy with its lineup, and this seems like the perfect game for the Dodgers against a pitcher they hit well against.
Remember, DeSclafani has allowed 22 runs in 27 innings against the Dodgers, and he’s only pitched more than five innings against them in two of those starts.
Will Smith to Hit a Home Run (+320)
Will Smith is hitting .364/.417/.727 this postseason, and I’ll take a flier on him to go deep off of DeSclafani.
Of Smith’s 25 home runs this season, 19 came against right-handed pitching, and he was 6-for-12 with two homers against DeSclafani this season and drove in five runs.
If the Dodgers jump on the Giants early, I wouldn’t be surprised if Smith is a big reason why.
