The Boston Celtics host the Miami Heat tonight at the TD Garden in Beantown. While Betsided’s editor, Peter Dewey, already handled the full game betting preview, I wanted to take a look at some player props.   Let’s review some prop odds for this Eastern Conference clash, courtesy of WynnBET Sportsbook.

3 Best Prop Bets for Heat vs. Celtics

  • Jayson Tatum UNDER 26.5 Points (-120)
  • Jalen Brown OVER 24.5 Points (-120)
  • Robert Williams III OVER 9.5 Rebounds (-135)

Jayson Tatum UNDER 26.5 Points (-120)

There is no denying that Jayson Tatum is one of the hottest NBA players in the league right now. He is averaging 34.4 points per game over his last five. While that is impressive, his point totals don’t tell the whole story. First of all, he averaged an insane 22.6 field-goal attempts per game, so it is not as if he is being overly efficient. His shooting percentage is all over the place and while he managed 65.4 percent in his last game out, the game before saw him shoot just 29.4 percent. Tatum shot over 60 percent for two straight games before posting a 26.3 percent and 42.1 percent came back to back over the last two weeks. While this bet is not taking anything away from his talent, Tatum is going up against an elite defense and I think another down game is on the horizon.

Jalen Brown OVER 24.5 Points (-120)

Tatum is not the only Celtics player who has a hot hand right now. Shooting guard Jalen Brown is currently the 16th highest scoring player in the NBA and is marching towards the top 10. Brown’s scoring average on the year is 24.3 PPG but he has upped that to 29 PPG including a 31 point performance against the Pelicans on Saturday. What I like about Brown here that I don’t like about Tatum is his consistency and ability to score on good defenses. In the same game that Tatum shot 29.4 percent, Brown shot over 40 percent from the field with 26 points.

Robert Williams III OVER 9.5 Rebounds (-135)

Williams is another player who has turned his production up to 11 since the start of the new year. After averaging 8.2 rebounds during December, Williams’ rebounding average jumped to 11.2 per game in January. He has gone OVER this total in three straight games and six of his last seven.
