The Indianapolis Colts will host the New York Jets in Week 9 of the NFL season on Thursday Night Football.

The Colts are 10.5-point favorites in this one, and our BetSided editors are torn on which side to back in this week’s best bets for Thursday night

WynnBET Sportsbook has moved this line towards Indy as the week has progressed, but can Mike White upset Carson Wentz and company after his impressive debut last week?

If you’re not sure of who to bet on in the game, here are three prop bets that I am targeting for tonight’s matchup:

Best Prop Bets for Jets vs. Colts

  • Michael Carter OVER 4.5 Receptions (-115)
  • Carson Wentz OVER 1.5 Touchdown Passes (-150)
  • Michael Pittman Jr. OVER 69.5 Receiving Yards (-125)

Michael Carter OVER 4.5 Receptions (-115)

Michael Carter thrived in Mike White’s first start last week, carrying the ball 15 times for 77 yards and seeing 14 targets in the passing game, turning them into nine catches for 95 yards.

The rookie running back has 23 targets and 17 catches in two games with Mike White playing under center, and I think we're getting some value at just 4.5 catches in this matchup.

The Colts are only allowing 4.2 catches per game to running backs this season, but that comes on six targets per game. If Carter sees close to double-digit targets again, I wouldn't be surprised if he easily passes the over on this prop, especially in a game the Jets are expected to be trailing in.

Carson Wentz OVER 1.5 Touchdown Passes (-150)

Wentz killed the Colts in Week 8 with some costly turnovers, but he’s actually played pretty well as of late.

The Indianapolis quarterback has thrown for multiple touchdowns in his last five games and six of his eight games this season. I know the -150 juice is a lot, but he’s facing a Jets team that has allowed the sixth-most points in the NFL so far this season.

I think Wentz is in for a bounce-back performance as the Colts try to stay alive in the AFC South.

Michael Pittman Jr. OVER 69.5 Receiving Yards (-125)

Michael Pittman Jr. has been the Colts’ No. 1 receiver for most of the season with T.Y. Hilton dealing with injuries.

He’s thrived without Hilton this season, and with the veteran wideout being ruled out for tonight’s game, I expect Wentz to look to Pittman early and often.

Pittman comes into this game fresh off a 10-catch, 86-yard performance against the Titans and he’s totaled 89, 105 and 86 receiving yards in the last three games where Hilton didn’t play or left because of injury.

I love him to hit the over against an average Jets defense tonight.
