3 Best Prop Bets for Raiders vs. Cowboys (Here Comes the Tony Pollard Game)
The Cowboys are looking to get right after a loss to the Chiefs last week. The Raiders are looking for anything after their season got derailed twice by horrible off-field issues. These are two teams heading in opposite directions as the final playoff push begins in the NFL, except I suppose if you include the dinner table in that convo. Both teams will be happy to head their after their Thanksgiving tilt.
As for me, I'm thinking about how I can make a few bucks off a game that likely won't be competitive. But rather than sweat out a 10-point spread, I'm gonna sweat out a few prop bets. Here are the ones I'm gonna take for this game, with odds coming from WynnBET.
Best Prop Bets for Cowboys vs Raiders
- Tony Pollard Anytime TD Scorer (+125)
- Total First Half Points UNDER 26 (-115)
- Highest Scoring Quarter 4th (+250)
Tony Pollard Anytime TD Scorer (+125)
Ezekiel Elliott tweaked a nagging knee injury on Sunday against the Chiefs. With such a short turnaround for Thanksgiving, I'm expecting a heavy dose of Tony Pollard in this game. Throw in the Raiders porous run defense (29th in yards allowed per game, 12 TDs allowed to RB overall) and this seems like easy money. Of course, there's no such thing as easy money in betting, but this is a get-right game for the Cowboys and they're gonna try and get everyone in the end zone if they can.
Total First Half Points Under 26 (-115)
The Cowboys could be without their top two wide receivers in this game and the Raiders offense has been floundering the last three games, scoring 16, 14 and 13 points total. The Cowboys are getting a boost at offensive line with the expected return of Tyron Smith this week. I feel a run-heavy attack is incoming from them. The Raiders will likely acquiesce to this game plan too and try to keep the ball on the ground as much as possible. This is less than half the total for the entire game so I like the number right now.
Highest Scoring Quarter 4th (+250)
WynnBET gives the second quarter the lowest odds for highest scoring quarter of the game at +150. Usually it's the fourth. It would appear they think it'll be open in the first half. I think the opposite. After a lackluster first half I'm predicting the Cowboys turn in on in the second half and pull away in the fourth quarter. The Raiders won't quit, but this will come down to the Cowboys wanting to finish strong. I could see them scoring three times in the fourth. Worth a sprinkle for me at least.
