Will we get a Joe Flacco revenge game in Week 1?

I wouldn't bet on it, as Flacco and the New York Jets are major underdogs against the Baltimore Ravens in Week 1. However, there is a way to get in the action on Flacco, if you decide to take the prop betting route.

Here are a few picks to consider making for the Ravens-Jets matchup at 1 p.m. EST:

Best Prop Bets for Ravens vs. Jets

  • Elijah Moore OVER 54.5 Receiving Yards (-114)
  • Lamar Jackson UNDER 1.5 Passing Touchdowns (-130)
  • Joe Flacco OVER 34.5 Passing Attempts (+102)

Elijah Moore OVER 54.5 Receiving Yards (-114)

Elijah Moore was Joe Flacco’s favorite target last season, and I think he could be in line for a big game if the Jets fall behind early.

Over his last six games in the 2021 season, Moore averaged 5.7 catches for 76.5 yards per game. He hauled in five touchdown catches over that stretch. If you’re going to back a Jets skill player, he’s the one to bet on.

Lamar Jackson UNDER 1.5 Passing Touchdowns (-130)

This may seem like a crazy play, but in his 11 full games last season, Jackson threw for multiple scores just two times!

Lamar can beat you through the air and with his legs, but with this game potentially ending in a Blatimore blowout, I could see the Ravens leaning on their running game more than Jackson’s arm.

I think he finds the end zone through the air at least once, but two times is a big ask in a game that likely won’t be close.

Joe Flacco OVER 34.5 Passing Attempts (+102)

For similar reasons as to why I’m backing Moore, Flacco threw the ball 39 times in his lone start for the Jets in 2021.

New York is nearly a touchdown underdog in this game, with the line sitting at 6.5 at FanDuel. Plus, the Ravens have been dominant in Week 1’s under John Harbaugh, going 10-4 straight up and against the spread over the last 14 seasons.

If Baltimore gets an early lead, Flacco may have to unleash a boatload of passes in the second half. This has some value at plus money.
