3 Best Prop Bets for Steelers vs Chargers on Sunday Night Football
Today’s NFL action wraps up with a Sunday Night Football showdown between the Pittsburgh Steelers and Los Angeles Chargers.
The Chargers are currently set as 6-point favorites for the game, and the total is set at 47.5. If you want a full breakdown for the game as well as a prediction on the side and total, check out our betting preview article.
Here, we’re going to focus on player props. Here are my three favorites for tonight’s AFC matchup.

Best Prop Bets for Steelers vs. Chargers
- Najee Harris OVER 83.5 Rushing Yards -125
- Mike Williams UNDER 53.5 Receiving Yards -115
- Chase Claypool OVER 41.5 Receiving Yards -125
Najee Harris OVER 83.5 Rushing Yards (-125)
Betting on a running back to go over their rushing yards total when they face the Chargers has proven to be a pretty smart idea so far this NFL season. Los Angeles ranks dead last in opponent yards per rush, allowing an averaging of 4.8 yards per carry.
Pair that with the fact that Ben Roethlisberger won’t be fully healthy for tonight’s game, and you can be sure that we’ll see a healthy dose of Najee Harris carries. He’s received 20+ carries in five straight games, and he’s gone over 83.5 rushing yards in three of those contests.
Mike Williams UNDER 53.5 Receiving Yards (-115)
Mike Williams was one of the top receivers in the NFL through the first few weeks of the season, but his numbers and production has since fallen off a cliff.
He’s only been targeted a combined 21 times in his last four games, and he didn’t surpass 33 receiving yards in three of them. Herbert has been targeting Keenan Allen much more in recent weeks, and he’s once again taken over as the Chargers go-to receiver. Expect another dud performance from Williams.
Chase Claypool OVER 41.5 Receiving Yards (-125)
This number is a tad disrespectful for one of the better young receivers in the NFL. Claypool will be starting after missing last week’s game against the Lions, and he’s surpassed this number in all but two of his starts so far this season.
As long as Big Ben is healthy enough to throw the ball with some level of efficiency, I have no doubt that Claypool can hit the OVER on his receiving total today.
