It's been a wild extended week for the Washington Football Team, having as many as 23 players enter the NFL's COVID-19 protocol. They still remain in the teens for the amount of teammates still ruled out, but at least they can field a roster Tuesday night against the Philadelphia Eagles at Lincoln Financial Field.

This matchup was supposed to be played Sunday afternoon at 1 pm ET, but was postponed to tonight at 6 pm ET in light of Washington's roster situation. The Eagles are currently 6.5-point favorites against the Football Team with the total at 41.5.

With WynnBET not releasing props for WFT due to who will be made available from the reserve/COVID-19 list, here are three of my favorite prop bets for this evening on the Philadelphia side. I also plan to use several of these for a same game parlay bet on this matchup as well.

Note that all odds available are via WynnBET Sportsbook:

3 Best Prop Bets for Football Team vs. Eagles

  • Jalen Hurts OVER 193.5 Passing Yards (-116)
  • Devonta Smith OVER 47.5 Receiving Yards (-116)
  • Miles Sanders UNDER 55.5 Rushing Yards (-115)

Jalen Hurts OVER 193.5 Passing Yards (-116)

Sure, Hurts has failed to clear this number in his last five games, but this is all about the right matchups, and there may not be a better one for him to sit back and throw than this week.

Washington has been atrocious stopping the pass all season, ranking 30th in the NFL in passing yards allowed.

I know I'm going the opposite way of the consensus numbers from the sportsbooks after opening around 200, but Nick Sirianni will have to adjust with Washington's front being healthy and cleared from the reserve/COVID list. The run game will be much more difficult now and I expect Hurts to take advantage of open windows downfield.

Miles Sanders UNDER 55.5 Rushing Yards (-115)

Speaking of the more difficult run game, I have serious concerns about Washington's top defensive lineman all being cleared to play tonight. For as bad as the Football Team has been against the pass, they still remain elite vs. the run, ranking 4th in the NFL in rushing yards and yards-per-play.

Sanders has been terrific the last three games, but the Eagles still aren't giving him consistent carries. He had a season high 24 for 120 vs. the Jets back in early December, but the previous game, he only had 9 attempts against the Giants in a 13-7 loss.

Between a staunch front seven and inconsistent volume, I'll go under for Sanders tonight.

DeVonta Smith OVER 47.5 Receiving Yards (-116)

Much like the over for Hurts' passing yards, I'll buy in on Smith's opportunity to go scorched earth on Washington's beat up secondary tonight.

If he can do this against Patrick Surtain, he can easily dominate William Jackson, Dany Johnson or whoever lines up on his side tonight.

Furthermore, Washington's pass defense yardage totals have gotten worse in five consecutive games and they also can't stop anyone on 3rd down. Sounds like a recipe for a big game out of Smith tonight.
