3 Best Prop Bets For Giants vs. Chargers in Week 14
By Matt De Saro
The New York Giants hit up SoFi Stadium on Sunday afternoon for a date with the Los Angeles Chargers. The Giants are dealing with several key injuries to their offense including their starting Quarterback Daniel Jones. The G-Men are coming off another brutal loss in Week 13 and are just going through the motions right now until the regular season is over.
Meanwhile, the Chargers are coming off a big-time win over the Cincinnati Bengals that saw Justin Herbert bounce back after throwing two interceptions in a loss to the Broncos. Let’s take a look at some prop odds for this showdown, courtesy of WynnBET Sportsbook.
3 Best Prop Bets for Giants vs Chargers
- Saquon Barkley UNDER 58.5 Rushing Yards (-115)
- Austin Ekler OVER 56.5 Rushing Yards (-115)
- Justin Herbert OVER 272.5 Rushing Yards (-115)
Saquon Barkley UNDER 58.5 Rushing Yards (-115)
Want to hear an interesting stat? Saqbon Barkey, superstar running back for the New York Giants, hasn’t had more than 57 yards rushing in a single game this season. Or last season. Injuries have had a lot to do with that, but Barkley has played eight games this year yet has just 315 yards total. The Chargers don’t have the best rushing defense, but I am not sure it matters much at this point. Barkley has been unable to find space against anyone and I don’t see that changing today.
Austin Ekler OVER 56.5 Rushing Yards (-115)
Unlike Barkley, Ekler has been living up to the hype and is having a strong season for the Chargers. He has 663 yards on the season and has scored three touchdowns in his last three games. Admittedly, his rushing yard totals aren’t that impressive but he has gone over this total six times including last week against the Bengals. The Giants defense has been playing better lately but I think Ekler’s talent gets him over the hump here.
Justin Herbert OVER 272.5 Passing Yards (-115)
Justin Herbert is on a tear recently and performing like one of the top QBs in the league with three straight games over 300 yards passing. He is fifth in the NFL in passing yards and first in QBR at 67.4. This week Herbert faces off against the Giant’s 16th ranked passing defense that is allowing 254.9 yards per game. Herbert has gone over this total in eight games this year and I don’t see the GIants slowing him down this week. He is too talented and on too much of a run to bet against this weekend. I expect another big game from the future of this franchise.
