3 Best Prop Bets for Packers vs. Chiefs: Crosby Will Split the Uprights
By Thomas Snodgrass
Aaron Rodgers won’t be under center for the Green Bay Packers, so it will be the first career NFL start for Jordan Love. There have been some interesting quarterback debuts in recent weeks, and if Love can have a debut like Cooper Rush of the Dallas Cowboys or Mike White of the New York Jets, everything will be just fine for Green Bay.
The Kansas City Chiefs’ offense has looked lost this season, turning the ball over at an incredibly high rate. It would appear that they’re trying to find themselves more than the endzone. They seem to have lost their identity.
Here are three prop bets to take for Packers vs. Chiefs, odds courtesy of WynnBET Sportsbook.
Best Prop Bets for Packers vs. Chiefs
- Aaron Jones OVER 62.5 Rushing Yards (-112)
- Darrel Williams OVER 47.5 Rushing Yards (-110)
- Mason Crosby OVER 1.5 Field Goals Made (+120)
Aaron Jones OVER 62.5 Rushing Yards (-112)
Last week against the Arizona Cardinals, Jones and A.J. Dillon split the carries in the backfield, and though Dillon finished with more rushing yards, Jones still collected 59 yards of his own.
The Kansas City defense has been so awful that even playing in a split backfield shouldn’t hurt Jones’ chances of hitting the over on his rushing yards prop.
Devontae Booker ran for 60 yards on 15 carries last week against the Chiefs defense, so I feel comfortable backing Jones to get 63 this week, being handed off the football by a quarterback making his first NFL start.
Darrel Williams OVER 47.5 Rushing Yards (-110)
The Packers rushing defense appears to be average, but have allowed large chunks of rushing to be gained on the ground in a handful of games.
In Week 6, the Packers allowed rookie running back Khalil Herbert of the Chicago Bears to run for 97 yards and a touchdown on 19 carries.
Darrel Williams just has to be effective early so he doesn’t lose too many carries to the emerging Derrick Gore.
Mason Crosby OVER 1.5 Field Goals Made (+120)
The Packers have a quarterback under center making his first NFL start. The Chiefs have a swiss cheese defense that gives up large chunks of field position. If Jordan Love can move the ball down the field, but can’t get it in the endzone, then it’s Mason Crosby’s time to shine.
Besides that debacle in Cincinnati when Crosby missed three field goals, he hasn’t missed another. And even though he missed three field goals that day, he still made four.
A porous KC defense and a questionable Green Bay offense sets up Crosby for a nice game.
