3 Best Prop Bets for Packers vs. Vikings (Don't Trust Aaron Rodgers in 2022 Debut)
The Green Bay Packers and Minnesota Vikings will face-off in a classic NFC North duel in Week 1 action.
Can Aaron Rodgers succeed without Davante Adams? Can the Vikings take a step forward with new head coach, Kevin O'Connell? Today's game will start to answer those questions.
If you're looking for player props to bet on in this game, I have you covered.
Here are my top three player props for today's game, with odds courtesy of FanDuel Sportsbook.
Packers vs. Vikings Prop Bets
- Dalvin Cook OVER 71.5 Rushing Yards (-110)
- Aaron Rodgers UNDER 258.5 Passing Yards (-110)
- Randall Cobb Anytime TD +240
Dalvin Cook OVER 71.5 Rushing Yards (-110)
Dalvin Cook starts his 2022 campaign with a favorable matchup against the Green Bay Packers. Everyone talks about how good of a defense the Packers have, but let's not forget that they finished 28th in opponent yards per carry last season, allowing an average of 4.6 yards per rush.
Meanwhile, Cook averaged 89.2 rushing yards per game in 2021, and his Week 1 total is 18 yards below that, with the 27-year old taking on one of the worst rushing defenses from 2021.
Aaron Rodgers UNDER 258.5 Passing Yards (-110)
Aaron Rodgers averaged 257.2 passing yards per game in 2021, which is fewer yards than his over/under total for this opening game against the Vikings. Is he going to be able to put up as many yards without his longtime favorite target in Davante Adams? I'm not so sure. Let's not forget that Allen Lazard is doubtful as well.
Until he finds a new favorite target, I'll be betting on the UNDER on his passing yards total week-after-week.
Randall Cobb Anytime TD +240
With Allen Lazard likely out, Aaron Rodgers might use his longtime receiver, Randall Cobb, as a security blanket. Let's also not forget that he was one of Rodgers' favorite end zone targets last season.
Cobb only had 28 catches for the Packers last season, but five of those resulted in a touchdown. At +240, I love this bet today.
