The Las Vegas Raiders and Los Angeles Chargers will play in a rematch of last season's Week 18 overtime thriller in this season's opening week.

Derek Carr gets a chance to show off his new weapon in Davante Adams, and Justin Herbert begins his MVP campaign.

Let's take a look at my three favorite prop bets for this AFC West showdown. All odds shown below are via FanDuel Sportsbook.

Raiders vs. Chargers Prop Bets

  • Josh Jacobs OVER 48.5 Rushing Yards (-110)
  • Hunter Renfrow OVER 47.5 Receiving Yards (-110)
  • Justin Herbert OVER 284.5 Passing Yards (-110)

Josh Jacobs OVER 48.5 Rushing Yards (-110)

I'm not entirely sure why this total is so low. Sure, Josh Jacobs isn't exactly a top tier back, and the Raiders may use rookie running back, Zamir White, at times but I still like the OVER for Jacobs ground yards.

He averaged 58.1 rushing yards per game last season, 10 yards higher than his set total for today's game. Not only that, but he and the Raiders will take on the Chargers, who ranked 29th in opponent yards per carry last year at 4.6.

Hunter Renfrow OVER 47.5 Receiving Yards (-110)

Everyone is going to be talking about Raiders new receiver, Davante Adams, and rightfully so. But, I'm more interested in what this means for Hunter Renfrow.

Renfrow averaged 61.1 receiving yards per game last season, but now the pressure has been completely lifted from his shoulders. Teams were able to double-team him last season, as the Raiders had few other targets to throw to. Now, with Adams taking most of the attention, Renfrow should be able to run free.

Justin Herbert OVER 284.5 Passing Yards (-110)

Justin Herbert is close to the top of the odds list to win NFL MVP this season, and for good reason. He averaged 294.9 passing yards per game in 2021, and I expect similar results this year.

He also blasted past this number against the Raiders in the season finale last year, throwing for 383 yards on 64 attempts. If he can get even close to that number today, this prop bet will cash.
