3 Best Props Bets for Falcons vs 49ers: Bet on Cordarrelle Patterson
By Matt De Saro
The Atlanta Falcons hit the road to Levi’s Stadium on Sunday afternoon to face off against the San Fransisco 49ers. The 49ers have been hot lately and have won four of their last five games while the Falcons are coming off a win over the Carolina Panthers. Both teams are fighting for Wild-Card spots in the NFC and this game will be an important factor in the future of these two teams. Let’s take a look at some prop odds for this showdown, courtesy of WynnBET Sportsbook.
3 Best Prop Bets for Falcons vs 49ers
- Deebo Samuel UNDER 45.5 Receiving Yards (-115)
- Cordarrelle Patterson OVER 47.5 (-115)
- Matt Ryan UNDER 235.5 Passing Yards (-115)
Deebo Samuel UNDER 45.5 Receiving Yards (-115)
Deebo Samuel is one of the most electric offensive weapons in the NFL right now. However, the wide receiver has been used much more as a running back lately. While that has worked for the 49ers, it hasn’t done much for his total receiving yards stats.
It’s crazy to see that Samuel has just one catch in each of his last three games in a row and no more than 22 yards. However, he has had 22 rushing attempts in that same span. So, my siding with the under here is much more due to Samuel not being a full-time receiver right now. Maybe his calf injury is still plaguing him but the Niners seem content to have him play primarily out of the backfield these days.
Cordarrelle Patterson OVER 47.5 Rushing Yards (-115)
Sticking with the trend of guys who play multiple offensive positions, we have the gadget specialist Patterson. He has become a guy that many people rarely heard of to the entire reason why the Falcons are 6-7. Patterson has scored 40 percent of the Falcons' touchdowns this season and 25 percent of the year's total offensive yards. And yet, he averages just 14 touches per game.
The 49ers have a fairly decent rushing defense, but the Falcons' reliance on Patterson gives him a shot to go off in any game he plays. He has gone over this total in three straight games, including against the Bucs stellar rushing defense. I Expect him to shine yet again on Sunday afternoon.
Matt Ryan UNDER 235.5 Passing Yards (-115)
There is a reason why Patterson is such a major contributor to this offense. It’s because there is really nobody else for Matt Ryan to pass to right now. He has looked lost since Julio Jones hit the bricks and is also working without Calvin Ridley who is away from the team due to personal issues.
In Week 14 Ryan managed just 190 yards after going 19-for-28 with a touchdown. They still managed to beat the Panthers but Ryan wasn’t the reason for that. It appears that father time has finally caught up to Matty Ice and has now passed for less than 200 yards in five o his last seven games. He has only two touchdown passes in his last five and I just don’t see him rebounding at 36 years old.
