3 Best Props Bets for Broncos vs. Raiders: Jeudy due for a Bounce Back Performance
By Matt De Saro
Last week, the Raiders managed to beat a depleted Cleveland Browns team to halt their current skid. This week, however, they face off against a much-improved Denver Broncos team that has one of the better passing defenses in the league. Let’s take a look at some prop odds for this showdown, courtesy of WynnBET Sportsbook.
3 Best Prop Bets for Broncos vs Raiders
- Derek Carr UNDER 201.5 Passing Yards (-125)
- Josh Jacobs OVER 24.5 Receiving Yards (-125)
- Jerry Jeudy OVER 3.5 Receptions (-135)
Derek Carr OVER 201.5 Passing Yards (-125)
How the mighty have fallen. It feels like just a few weeks ago that I was considering Carr as a dark horse to win the MVP. Turns out it was more black hole level of dark. Now, I’m worried that Carr barely goes for more than 200 yards against the Broncos.
After a hot start, both Carr and the Raiders have fizzled out in recent weeks and Carr has been unable to complete passes downfield. Carr did throw for 341 yards against Denver earlier in the year but those were different teams than the ones we see today. Carr will also be without his favorite target in TE Darren Waller.
Despite all the issues, this number is way too low for this game. The Broncos have a good defense, but Carr manages to find his yards no matter who he plays. While there may be a few interceptions along the way, I think Carr has to sling it to keep LV in this game. It will be an ugly 202 yards but I think Carr gets there.
Josh Jacobs OVER 24.5 Receiving Yards (-125)
I think that this game will be a win for the Broncos and therefore the Raiders will be playing from behind. This would not usually lead itself to a running back having a good game but Jacobs has become a big part of this passing offense. His last game out saw him catch three passes for 42 yards.
In the game before that, he caught five passes for 46 yards and Jacobs had nine catches the week before for 38 yards. With Waller out, Jacobs can fill that void left and serve as a “safety blanket” of sorts for Carr. Jacobs has gone over this total five weeks in a row and the Raiders will rely on his once again tonight to make a difference in the air.
Jerry Jeudy OVER 3.5 Receptions (-135)
It might take 10 targets, but I’m confident that Jeudy hauls in at least four catches tonight. I think many are down on this prop because Drew Lock is under center for the Broncos. However, Lock likes to sling it and a deep threat like Jeudy will get his attention.
After a strong showing in September, Jeudy has been almost invisible. He had zero catches last week in the Broncos 15-10 loss to the Bengals. But, this feels like a good spot for him to bounce back. Frankly, he’s due for a big game. Not that 3.5 receptions would warrant a good game, but it’s a start. He has gone over this total in all but two games this season including last week. I’m betting he finds his groove again and contributes to a Broncos win.
