The Steelers host the Ravens today in their twice-annual AFC North slugfest. The biggest news heading into the game is Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger is expected to retire after this season, which is no surprise if you've watched him play this year, but is big news in this rivalry nevertheless.

The division-leading 8-3 Ravens are -4 point favorites over the Steelers on WynnBET and -190 (bet $190 to win $100) favorites on the moneyline. The 5-5-1 Steelers are fighting for their playoff lives at this point and are +170 (bet $100 to win $170) underdogs against the Ravens.

Ben Roethlisberger Over 255.5 Passing Yards (-125)

Big Ben going out with a bang? Nah, this is just about the matchup.

The Ravens defense gives up the most passing yards in the NFL, a robust 275.7 average per game. That feeds into what the Steelers want to do on offense. Pittsburgh averages 39.5 passing attempts per game, fourth-most in the NFL. They only run the ball 23.5 times per game, 26th in the NFL.

The Ravens are better against the run than the pass and the same is true of the Steelers offense. Why wouldn't they try and lean into that in this big game? Plus, if the Ravens jump out an early lead, passing could be even more important.

Pat Freiermuth Anytime TD Scorer (+200)

Freiermuth has scored in the last two games and four of the last five games. Overall he has five TDs in that time. Clearly he's become one of the Roethlisberger's favorite targets in the red zone.

This is also a favorable matchup for him. The Ravens have given up 7 TDs to tight ends this year, tied for the fourth-most in the NFL. Meanwhile they've only given up 9 TDs to wide receivers.

You could say Freiermuth is due for a TD regression considering he's never had a better run than this in his career. I'm going to look at it from the other side and say he stays hot.

Lamar Jackson Anytime TD Scorer (+100)

The Steelers have only given up two rushing TDs to quarterbacks all season, but the Ravens will want to pound the ball down their throats and I think Jackson benefits from a red-zone run to pay dirt.

Pittsburgh gives up 133.1 rushing yards per game (28th in the NFL) and the Ravens average 150.7 rushing yards per game, second in the NFL. This is a matter of strength versus weakness, and the Ravens will want to take advantage of that.

Jackson's rushing prop is set at 67.5 yards on WynnBET, so clearly Vegas sees him running on this defense. It makes sense he would find the end zone in that case too.
