3 Bold Predictions for Braves vs. Dodgers NLCS Game 4
By Peter Dewey
The Los Angeles Dodgers and Atlanta Braves face off in a pivotal NLCS Game 4 Wednesday night.
Los Angeles is a major -215 favorite on the moneyline with Julio Urias on the mound, and they have also seen their odds at WynnBET Sportsbook rise to -125 to win the NLCS despite trailing 2-1 in the series.
Julio Urias, who won 20 games during the regular season, gets the ball for the Dodgers while the Braves still have yet to announce their starter.
Here are my three bold predictions for tonight’s matchup:
Bold Predictions for Braves vs. Dodgers NLCS Game 4
- Julio Urias Pitches Five or More Innings
- Dodgers Team Total OVER 4.5 Runs (-120)
- Dodgers First Five Innings Total OVER 2.5 Runs (-110)
Julio Urias Pitches Five or More Innings
Urias is going to need to give the Dodgers length in this game, as they’ve taxed their bullpen about as much as you can over the first three games of this series.
In these playoffs, length has been four plus innings for any starter, but Urias did throw five innings of one-run ball in his lone start against the Giants and four innings of one-run ball in relief in the NLDS.
WynnBET has yet to release a prop on his innings, but if he can hold the Atlanta offense down I like Urias to get into the fifth or later in this one.
Dodgers Team Total OVER 4.5 Runs (-120)
I’m all over the Dodgers in this one after the momentum swing that we saw in Game 3. Los Angeles hasn’t been able to get going as much on offense this postseason, but the Dodgers have scored seven and six runs in their last two home games.
It’s not crazy, but I think L.A. can take advantage of a Braves team that may be going to a bullpen game tonight.
Dodgers First Five Innings Total OVER 2.5 Runs (-110)
If last night’s comeback carries over into the early innings, the Dodgers should easily hit the over on this number. WynnBET has the under at -125 odds, so I’ll opt for the better value in this instance.
Los Angeles has scored two runs in the first five innings in every game this series, so the early offense has been there, I just think Game 4 is where L.A. finally makes a real dent.
