3 Bold Predictions for Knicks vs. Bucks: Trust Julius Randle on the Glass
By Peter Dewey
The New York Knicks are searching for their second win in as many games against the Milwaukee Bucks this season on Wednesday night.
As crazy as it may seem to Knicks fans, New York is a 3.5-point favorite in the latest odds at WynnBET Sportsbook.
I previewed this matchup here, but what about some bold player prop predictions?
Bold Predictions for Knicks vs. Bucks
- RJ Barrett OVER 16.5 Points (-105)
- Evan Fournier OVER 13.5 Points (-105)
- Julius Randle OVER 9.5 Rebounds (-115)
RJ Barrett OVER 16.5 Points (-105)
I’m going back to the well even though I was burned on this prop earlier in the week when Barrett scored 15 points in a win over the Philadelphia 76ers.
Barrett is averaging 17.6 points per game and has averaged 18.5 field goal attempts over his past four games. He took 21 shots and scored 20 points in the win over the Milwaukee Bucks last week, and I think he’s in line for a bounce-back game after shooting just 9-for-33 over his last two contests.
The volume is there, and Barrett had been on a tear prior to two poor shooting performances. I’m buying low on him tonight.
Evan Fournier OVER 13.5 Points (-105)
I’m going to buy low on another Knicks scorer, as Evan Fournier is averaging 14.9 points per game this season even though he’s only eclipsed this mark in two of his last four games.
I think the big reason for that is Fournier had two games with less than 10 shot attempts, his only two all season to this point, and one was a product of him falling into foul trouble early in the second half.
I’ll back Fournier to have a bounce-back game against the Bucks, as he played a season-low in minutes in their last matchup. He’s due for some positive regression.
Julius Randle OVER 9.5 Rebounds (-115)
Julius Randle has been an absolute beast on the glass this season, tallying double-digit rebounds in seven of his 11 games and averaging 11.0 boards per game on the season.
He had 12 rebounds in their Knicks’ matchup with Milwaukee last Friday, and I don’t see him slowing down in a game where he should get plenty of minutes against Giannis Antetokoumpo.
