3 Bold Predictions for Knicks vs. Bulls: Julius Randle Will Be a Force
By Peter Dewey
The New York Knicks look to take down the unbeaten Chicago Bulls on Thursday night at the United Center.
Chicago hasn’t played the toughest of competition so far this season, and I wrote in my preview for this game that I think now is the perfect time to sell high on the Bulls.
However, outside of the pick for the game, I have a few bold predictions for tonight’s contest with odds via WynnBET:
Bold Predictions for Knicks vs. Bulls
- Mitchell Robinson OVER 7.5 Points (+110)
- Patrick Williams UNDER 3.5 Rebounds (+110)
- Julius Randle to Record a Double-Double (+110)
Mitchell Robinson OVER 7.5 Points (+110)
Mitchell Robinson has been a welcome addition back to the Knicks' lineup and is averaging 8.5 points and 10.5 rebounds per game this season.
Tonight, Robinson goes up against Nikola Vucevic, who is a great offensive player, but he has his limitations on the defensive end.
I think the Bulls' No. 2 defensive rating is a product of the weak opponents they've faced this season, and I think we're getting a chance to buy low on Robinson after All-NBA defender Joel Embiid held him to seven points on Tuesday.
Patrick Williams UNDER 3.5 Rebounds (+110)
Patrick Williams has taken a bit of a step back with more mouths to feed in Chicago this season, and he's averaging just 2.3 rebounds per game this season after averaging 4.6 per game in the 2020-21 campaign.
Tonight, Williams faces a Knicks team that is fourth in the NBA in offensive rating. I don't think there's a ton of chances for him to get on the glass, and he's coming off a game where he didn't grab a single rebound.
Give me the under here.
Julius Randle to Record a Double-Double (+110)
This one is a no-brainer for me at plus-odds, as Randle has put up a double-double in three of his four games this season and came one assist shy from another in the season opener.
One of Randle's biggest assets is the fact that he plays a ton of minutes (37.7 per game this season) and I think he's able to get there based on opportunity alone.
The Knicks and Bulls should play a pretty close matchup, so expect Randle to be out there and making an impact all game long.
