The Dallas Mavericks were in control of their Western Conference playoff series against the Los Angeles Clippers. They had a 2-0 series lead and were heading back to Dallas with a chance to close out the series sweep at home. Then, seemingly in the blink of an eye, the Clippers won two straight games and have regained home court advantage ahead of Game 5 at the Staples Center.

WynnBET has a wide variety of player props available for tonight’s pivotal game, and since I’ll be glued to my couch watching it, I have three different bets locked in.

Here are my three bold takes for Mavericks-Clippers Game 5.

Luka Doncic OVER 28.5 points -115

While this may not seem like a particularly bold take to have, many people will expect that Doncic will have another off game due to a neck injury.

I am not one of those people.

Reports have come out that Doncic is already feeling much better, after the injury kept him limited in Game 4, which resulted in him scoring only 19 points while hitting only 9-of-24 field goal attempts.

Before Sunday’s rough outing, Doncic was averaging 38 points per game through the first three games of the series. With tonight’s total being 9.5 points lower than what he averaged in that stretch, I have to trust that he’s feeling better tonight and will resemble something even close to what he did at the start of the series.

Kawhi Leonard OVER 2.5 3-pointers made +145

Kawhi Leonard has already hit this bet in two of the four games so far this series, draining four 3s in Game 2, then following it up with three 3s in Game 3. In all but one game this series, Leonard has attempted at least five 3-point shots, so I like the plus-money value on him hitting the over 2.5 treys for tonight’s Game 5.

The Mavericks' perimeter defense also bodes well for this bet, as 34.9% of points scored against the Mavericks this season have come from beyond the arc, which ranks 22nd in the NBA.

Kristaps Porzingis to record a double-double +250

If Doncic is in fact nursing a sore neck tonight, Kristaps Porzingis will have to step up and take on some of the workload. A big area where he can do just that, is the rebounding department.

Porzings has only averaged four rebounds per game this series, which is a long way off from his regular season average of 8.9 boards. It’s time for him to pull his weight this series.

In a March 13 meeting with the Clippers, Porzingis grabbed 13 boards while scoring 11 points so a double-double against Los Angeles tonight certainly isn’t impossible. If you’re looking for a player prop that will have a decent payout if it cashes, you’re not going to find one better than Porzingis recording a double-double in tonight’s Game 5.
