3 Bold Predictions for Nuggets vs. Jazz: Nikola Jokic, Rudy Gobert Square Off
By Peter Dewey
The Denver Nuggets will play the second game of a back-to-back on Tuesday night against the Utah Jazz.
BetSided's Reed Wallach previewed this game and believes this is the perfect time to hop on Denver after a disappointing loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers on Monday night.
WynnBET Sportsbook has Denver as a seven-point underdog against the Jazz. We are going to get a great matchup between Nikola Jokic and Rudy Gobert at center, so why not make some bold predictions for this game?
Nuggets vs. Jazz Bold Predictions
- Rudy Gobert OVER 12.5 Points (+100)
- Nikola Jokic OVER 6.5 Assists (+100)
- Michael Porter Jr. OVER 15.5 Points (-115)
Rudy Gobert OVER 12.5 Points (+100)
Rudy Gobert has gotten off to a nice start this season, averaging 16.5 points per game while shooting 62.5 percent from the field.
The Nuggets and Jokic were burned by Jarrett Allen last night, as the Cavs center put up 21 points and 16 rebounds while shooting 10-for-11 from the field.
Gobert doesn't have to be that good to cash in on some favorable odds at +100 on his scoring prop tonight.
Nikola Jokic OVER 6.5 Assists (+100)
Jokic hasn't been the assist-machine that he normally is to start this season, as the reigning MVP has just 12 assists through three games this season.
However, with a matchup with Gobert on tap, I think this a perfect time for Jokic to get back to his playmaking ways. Last season the Joker averaged 9.0 assists per game against the Jazz, and if he can bring that into the 2021-22 season, he'll easily hit the over on this prop.
Denver is due for a better shooting night than it had on Monday, and I think Jokic benefits from that tonight.
Michael Porter Jr. OVER 15.5 Points (-115)
Speaking of bounce-back games, Michael Porter Jr. is due after a slow start to the 2021-22 season.
MPJ put up a season-high 14 shots in the loss to the Cleveland, but he was just 4-of-14 from the field.
I think that changes tonight, as the Nuggets need him to get going as an option behind Jokic with Jamal Murray still out due to a torn ACL.
Porter Jr. averaged 19.0 points per game last season and this feels like a great buy-low moment on his points prop.
