The defending World Series champions are facing elimination tonight, as the Los Angeles Dodgers get ready to take on the San Francisco Giants  in Game 4 of the NLDS. The Dodgers face a 2-1 series deficit, and they are now one game away from elimination for the second time this postseason.

They were able to come up clutch against the St. Louis Cardinals in the wild card game, can they do it again against the Giants?

Here are my three bold predictions for this NL West playoff showdown. All odds listed are via WynnBET Sportsbook.

Dodgers First Five Innings Dodgers OVER 2.0 Runs -125

The Dodgers are set to face Giants starter Anthony DeSclafani, and I’ll be wagering on them to score at least three runs against him in the first five innings. DeSclarfani, while sporting a solid 3.17 ERA this season, has struggled when he’s faced the Dodgers.

He allowed at least three earned runs in four of his six starts against them this season, including a game on May 23rd in which he gave up 10 earned runs in only 2.2 innings. With their season on the line, I think the Dodgers get to him tonight.

1st Inning Moneyline Giants +115

This is the only bet I’ll be placing on the Giants for the game, but they’ve dominated in the first inning so far this season. They lead all Major League Baseball teams in 1st inning runs per game, averaging 0.72, and they’re sixth in opponent 1st inning runs per game at 0.47.

I think the Dodgers win the game, and win it handedly, but I wouldn’t be shocked if the Giants get out to a lead at the end of the 1st inning. Also, since this is a 2-way moneyline, if it ends in a tie then the bet is a push and you get your money back.

Dodgers -2.5 Alternate Run Line +190

I just mentioned I think the Dodgers win this game handedly, and I’m backing that claim up by betting on their alternate run line of -2.5. That means that they need to win the game by at least three runs for this bet to cash.

The Dodgers have had their backs up against the wall plenty of times in the postseason through the past handful of years, and more often then not they rise to the occasion. I expect them to force a Game 5 against a Giants teams that has played better than their ability for the entire season.
