Jalen Hurts’ first season as the Philadelphia Eagles full-time starting quarterback has seen some ups and downs.

The second-year quarterback threw three touchdown passes in a 32-6 blowout of the Atlanta Falcons in Week 1, but he struggled against the San Francisco 49ers in Week 2, completing just 12 of his 23 pass attempts. He did add a rushing touchdown to salvage his stat line for the day.

Now, Hurts has a chance to pick up a crucial road win over the division-rival Dallas Cowboys with the Eagles coming in as 3.5-point underdogs at WynnBET Sportsbook.

Here are three bold player prop predictions for Hurts against the Cowboys on Monday Night Football:

Jalen Hurts OVER 1.5 Touchdown Passes (+110)

Hurts threw for three touchdowns in the Eagles’ Week 1 win over the lowly Falcons, but he was unable to throw for a score in Week 2.

I think that’s going to change in Week 3. Dallas has allowed the third-most passing yards in the NFL this season, and it also has given up five touchdown passes through the first two weeks of the season.

The over in this matchup is set at 51.5, which signals to me that oddsmakers see a shootout going on in Dallas tonight.

Hurts struggled against San Francisco, but both offenses were subpar in that game and not many points were scored. That’s not going to be the case against a porous Dallas defense, especially without DeMarcus Lawrence. Hurts should be able to take advantage of the Cowboys’ secondary with DeVonta Smith, Jalen Reagor and Dallas Goedert.

Jalen Hurts Anytime TD Scorer and Eagles Win (+310)

These are called bold predictions for a reason!

Look, Dallas allowed the seventh-most rushing yards to quarterbacks last season (366) and it is without Lawrence, who is the team’s best pass rusher. If the Cowboys can’t make Hurts uncomfortable in the pocket, he can pick them apart with his arm or with his legs.

Last week, Hurts had 10 carries for 82 yards and he’s totaled 17 rushes for 144 yards on the season. If you remember last season against Dallas, Hurts ran the ball nine time for 69 yards in a 37-17 loss.

At +310, I don’t hate taking Hurts to score and pick up the upset, but remember we’re being bold here. He's +125 to be an anytime touchdown scorer if that's more interesting to you.

Jalen Hurts OVER 54.5 Rushing Yards (-115)

This pick isn’t as bold (partly because Hurts doesn’t have any other props at plus odds for tonight’s matchup), but over 54.5 rushing yards isn’t an easy task.

Still, Hurts has picked up 62 and 82 rushing yards in his first two games, respectively, and he torched Dallas on the ground last season. If the Eagles want to win, they need a vintage performance from Hurts. I expect Nick Sirianni to make sure his best playmaker is in position to succeed in this one.
