3 Most Important Games on Los Angeles Rams' 2022 Schedule
By Matt De Saro
As we await the release of the NFL schedules for 2022, we at least know all of the opponents each team will face and where. Just not when.
As the defending champion Los Angeles Rams prepare to defend their Super Bowl title, let's highlight three important games ahead for them in 2022.
at Tampa Bay Buccaneers
This showdown between two of the most recent Super Bowl champions should be one heck of a show.
There is a lot of bad blood between these two teams after the Bucs lost in the Divisional Round in January to end their season. The game almost ended Tom Brady’s career as well.
Fortunately, the football gods smiled on us all and we get to watch these two teams go at it again in 2022. The Rams have a chance to beat the Bucs on their home turf yet again, sending a big message to the rest of the league.
vs. Buffalo Bills
This will be one of the more challenging home games for the Rams against a Bills team expected to compete for a title. Rumors are swirling that this will be the NFL Opening Night matchup which puts even more pressure on the Rams to win.
The Bills stumbled down the stretch last year but are a very good team that could easily ruin the Rams' first home game since winning the championship. It will also give us a chance to see Aaron Donald and Josh Allen battle it out once again.
vs. San Francisco 49ers
Despite coming out on top in the NFC Championship Game, the Rams are 0-6 SU in their last six regular-season games against the 49ers. A big reason for this has been George Kittle who just dominated the Rams. Kittle caught a touchdown in three of those six wins despite playing in only five of them. In the 49ers' first game against the Rams last year Kittle caught four passes for 100 yards and has at least 79 yards in all of his last five against LA.
Not only is this a very important game in the NFC West, but I’m interested to see how the Rams handle Kittle after getting roughed up by him in five straight games.
