3 NBA Prop Bets: Legends vs. Stars Plays for 75th Anniversary
Stars in today's NBA are constantly being compared to the stars of the past. Debates about these players are the cornerstones of basketball dialogue, and now they finally can be compared to each other.
WynnBET is offering special props for the NBA’s 75th anniversary that put a present-day NBA star up against one of the past. These range from Michael Jordan vs. Kevin Durant to Allen Iverson vs. LaMelo Ball.
There are a myriad of different props available for this season, but here are my best three.
All odds listed are via WynnBET.
Best 75th Anniversary Prop Bets For the NBA Season
Isiah Thomas’ Record PTS IN QTR (25) vs Damian Lillard Any Quarter 21-22
If there’s a player that can beat Isiah Thomas’ record, it's Damian Lillard. There’s not a lot of people that can get as hot as Lillard in the NBA and with his logo-range, Lillard can score in bunches.
Portland is going to rely on Lillard’s scoring ability more than it ever has, hoping he can raise the floor of the team to an actual contender. In 67 games, Lillard scored at least 30 points in 35 of them. He can get the job done and it wouldn’t be surprising to see Lillard go insane for one quarter of play.
PPG+APG: Jerry West 69-70 (38.7) vs Trae Young 21-22
Last year’s playoffs were a true coming out party for Trae Young and the Hawks. Young showed the world he’s built for the biggest stages and that the Hawks need to be taken seriously. In regards to this prop, Young has surpassed this already. In 2019, Young had 38.9 combined points and assists. He took a dip in scoring last season, but his assists numbers are still at their peak.
If Young can get right back to scoring at ease this season, especially by improving his 3-point percentage, I can see Young surpassing West again.
PTS+REB: Tim Duncan 01-02 (38.2) vs Nikola Jokic 21-22
Tim Duncan was at the top of the league in the early 2000s and Jokic is right there. Both won MVPs and were some of the best big men in the game. Jokic’s combined points and rebounds last season were at 37.2, but with the Nuggets needing him to carry the team while Jamal Murray is out, he will have to deliver.
Jokic had a career season last year. While that may be hard to replicate, his ceiling is still yet to be reached. Jokic will need to do everything for the Nuggets, and that could lead him to surpassing Duncan.
