We're at the halfway point of the NFL season, so now's the perfect time to take a look at a few futures.

Now may be the last time to get betting value on teams or players who will make a splash in the second half of the NFL season.

Let's dive into my three favorite NFL futures to bet right now, before it's too late.

3 NFL Futures to Bet on Now

  • Tua Tagovailoa to Win NFL MVP +1100
  • Bengals to Win AFC +1300
  • 49ers to Win Super Bowl +1200

Tua Tagovailoa to Win NFL MVP +1100

As of writing this article, it's a three quarterback race between Patrick Mahomes, Jalen Hurts, and Josh Allen. If you're not interested in betting the short odds on any of those players, might I suggest Tua Tagovailoa?

He leads all starting quarterbacks in yards per pass attempt at 9.2 and quarterback rating at 115.9. He's also second in completion percentage (69.9%) and the Dolphins have yet to lose a game that he started and finished. Sure, missing a couple of games is going to hurt him in the long run, but he's going to be hard to ignore if his play stays at this level throughout the second half of the season.

Bengals to Win AFC +1300

The Cincinnati Bengals got their season off to a nightmare start, but have begun to look much more like the AFC champions from last year in recent weeks. In the latest net yards per play rankings, the Bengals climbed from 15th to 13th.

The Bengals will almost certainly be in the postseason, so what's keeping them from going on another Super Bowl run? At +1300, they hold the best betting value to win the AFC.

49ers to Win Super Bowl +1200

The San Francisco 49ers acquired Christian McCaffrey at the NFL trade deadline, and are now legitimate contenders in the wide-open NFC. Heading into Week 10, the 49ers are tied for second in the NFL in net yards per play, alongside the undefeated Philadelphia Eagles.

If the Eagles stumble in the playoffs, and the 49ers defense can get healthy, there's a great chance that San Francisco will represent the NFC in the Super Bowl. Let's not forget, they were a couple of plays away from beating the Rams in the championship game last year.

The 49ers are clearly the "best of the rest" in the NFL after the Bills, Chiefs, and Eagles. Why not take a shot on them at +1200?
