We are less than a week away from the start of Wimbledon. This event is like no other, with an all-white dress code, grass court and all the pageantry that comes with it.

The one area that Wimbledon is similar to the rest of the majors is that Iga Swiatek is expected to wipe the floor with the competition. WynnBET has her odds to win it all +150, nearly 10 times as short as the next player.

The odds say this tournament is already over, but is there anyone who can knock her off?

Simona Halep (+1000)

The last time Halep played at Wimbledon, she won it all. Now that was two years ago, but this is a familiar spot for Halep. Playing on grass is a much different experience than on clay or a regular outdoor court.

Halep is also 2-2 in her career against Swiatek. Halep won their meeting at the Australian Open in 2021, with a potential match here their first Grand Slam rematch. Halep has knocked her off before, so I’ll back her as one of the best options to knock off Swiatek.

Coco Gauff (+1100)

If it weren’t for Swiatek, Gauff would be even more of a media darling right now. Gauff is coming off the best Grand Slam run of her career and dominated everyone. I think Gauff will be able to carry her momentum over to Wimbledon and make another deep run. It’s clear that Swiatek is better than everyone on tour, but Gauff could be the best option to get attempts at beating her.

Emma Raducanu (+1800)

Raducanu is still young, but the narrative going into this tournament is too good to pass up. She’s still less than a year removed from her U.S. Open title and is now going home to try and rekindle that magic.

These two played this year and while Swiatek won in straight sets, Raducanu won four games in each set. She can compete with her, so it wouldn’t be a shock if she pulled off the upset.
