After checking out Game 1 of the ALDS, maybe you’ve got your eye on some potential prop bets for Game 2.

If you bet on Nelson Cruz or Randy Arozarena to hit a home run yesterday, congratulations. If you bet on Rafael Devers to hit a home run, I’m sorry.

That’s okay, because there is always tomorrow. And tomorrow is today!

Here are my top three prop bets for ALDS Game 2, odds courtesy of WynnBET Sportsbook.

Chris Sale OVER 6.5 strikeouts (-125)

Yes, Chris Sale is returning from Tommy John surgery this season, but he still recorded 52 strikeouts in 42 ⅔ innings in 2021.

The Rays have been a model franchise for many reasons, but it shouldn’t be for their plate discipline. Tampa Bay’s lineup averaged 9.49 strikeouts per game this season, which was 28th in the MLB, with only the Miami Marlins and Chicago Cubs swinging and missing at a higher rate.

This is a somewhat volatile Rays lineup that Sale could dominate in Game 2.

Shane Baz UNDER 5.5 strikeouts (-115)

Baz is only 22-years old and has thrown a total of 13 ⅓ innings in his Major League career. So, I only think it makes sense to take the under on his strikeouts prop against one of the best lineups in baseball.

Plus, if Baz finds himself in any early trouble, manager Kevin Cash will probably give him the hook.

Baz throws his four-seam fastball 54.5% of the time. Red Sox’ Leadoff hitter Kike Hernandez is batting .283 against fastballs. Kyle Schwarber is batting .307 against fastballs. Xander Bogaerts is hitting .327 against fastballs.

The top of Boston’s lineup could be a problem for Baz.

Hunter Renfroe to Hit a Home Run (+370)

Former Ray, Hunter Renfroe has done well this season against his old club.

Renfroe has batted .321 against Tampa Bay in 2021, and has hit 4 home runs as well.

There may be more enticing options, such as Rafael Devers or Kyle Schwarber, but why not wager on the man that the Rays dumped?

Renfroe has homered off of Tampa Bay pitchers Ryan Yarborough, J.T. Chargois, Shane McClanahan, and Luis Patino. Wacha or Chargois could make appearances out of the bullpen tonight. Don’t worry so much about the lefty/righty matchups.
