Week 1 of the College Football season saw some underdogs come through, including multiple victories by FCS teams over their “superior” FBS foes.

There was money just sitting out there, waiting to be won. You may have overlooked some of last week’s games available at WynnBET. Let’s not make the same mistake twice.

Let’s take a peek at three underdogs that could come through in Week 2.

Odds are courtesy of WynnBET Sportsbook.

Wyoming Cowboys vs. Northern Illinois Huskies (+7) | TOTAL: 44.5

Wyoming (-265) | Northern Illinois (+210) - Moneyline

Long gone are the days of quarterback Josh Allen donning those brown and yellow Wyoming uniforms. The Cowboys did win in Week 1, but it was a little concerning. Wyoming picked up a go-ahead touchdown with just 47 seconds remaining against FCS opponent, the Montana State Bobcats.

The Cowboys are a run-first team, sort of like the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets, and the Yellow Jackets lost at home to Northern Illinois in Week 1.

The Huskies gave up 272 rushing yards to Georgia Tech in their Week 1 win, but they get to face another run-first squad, that’s probably a lesser quality opponent in Week 2, at home. Northern Illinois are +6.5 on the spread, too.

I’m taking Northern Illinois.

Buffalo Bills vs. Nebraska Cornhuskers (-14) | TOTAL: 54.5

Buffalo Bulls (+425) | Nebraska Cornhuskers (-600) - Moneyline

Nebraska dropped their Week 0 opener at Illinois, then trounced Fordham at home in Week 1. The Cornhuskers have been one of the more disappointing teams in the Big 10, considering the history of their program, but don’t buy the history.

Buffalo’s quarterback, Kyle Vantrease, has done a much better job of protecting the football than his QB counterpart, Adrian Martinez. Martinez has struggled finding the endzone in recent years, especially through the air, which make the Bulls a solid bet at +13.5 on the spread.

Nebraska has had a shaky start to their season, and even after getting beat by Illinois, I like this Buffalo team enough to say that this will be the Cornhuskers toughest test at this point in the season.

 I’m going with the Bulls.

UAB Blazers vs. Georgia Bulldogs (-24.5) | TOTAL: 45

UAB Blazers (+1500) vs. Georgia Bulldogs (-3000)

Georgia knocked off the Clemson Tigers last week. Congratulations, but the honeymoon is over.

The Bulldogs quarterback, JT Daniels, was unimpressive in the win. Daniels did complete 22 passes against Clemson, but picked up just 135 yards on those 22 completions, recorded 0 touchdown passes and threw one interception.

That was against Clemson, maybe I should give the guy a break.

Considering that Pro Football Focus ranked the UAB Blazers defense as a top ten defense entering the 2021 season, maybe I shouldn’t give the guy a break. Although, UAB defeated Jacksonville State in Week 1, posting a shutout, so I think this Blazers defense is the real deal. UAB should cover the spread as +24 point underdogs.

The Montana Grizzlies upset the No. 20-ranked Washington Huskies last week, so weird things do happen.

I’ll take the Blazers.
