The San Fransisco 49ers are one of several teams this year who have turned things around after a rough start to the season. The Niners started the year in a 3-5 hole but have since won five of their last six games and are now 8-6.

While the 49ers have stepped up thier game in the second half of the season, the Titans season has been spiraling out of control. After starting 6-0 with wins over the Bills, Chiefs, and Rams, the Titans completely fallen apart and are now 9-5 and clinging to first place in the AFC South. Their only win in the last four weeks was to the 2-12 Jaguars and they lost to the 3-11 Texans in Week 11.

49ers vs. Titans Prediction and Pick

One of the major reasons that the Titans fell apart was the loss of their starting running back, Derrick Henry. However, in recent weeks, they have also been turning the ball over quite often. During their four game skid, the Titans have turned the ball over 13 times. Three of their four giveaways yesterday occurred on consecutive drives and included two by Ryan Tannehill. It was a winnable game for Tennessee, but they ended up blowing it to a team that managed less than 170 yards of total offense on the day.

The Titans' defense matches up very well against the run-heavy Niners with the second ranked rushing defense in the NFL. So, Garoppolo will need to step up a bit more than he is usually asked to. The Niners' defense is very good at taking the ball from opponents and has averaged a pair of turnovers in their last three games.

I think that ball security will again be the Titans downfall and their slide continues.

Pick: San Francisco 49ers -3.5 (+100)
