After last year’s loss in the Super Bowl, the Chiefs are ready for their revenge tour. They remade their offensive line in the offseason to give Patrick Mahomes some more support up front. Kansas City has been looking for a No. 3 wide receiver to help Tyreek Hill and Travis Kelce and this preseason is the time to find him.

As for the 49ers, they are trying to make the jump from the bottom of the division to the top. After a year ravaged by injuries and COVID-19, San Francisco is in a good position to bounce back this year. While it seems that Jimmy Garoppolo is going to be the starter, this will be the first time we see Trey Lance on an NFL field.

The two teams will face off at 8:30 p.m. EST on Saturday night.

Here are the odds for their matchup via WynnBET.

49ers vs. Chiefs Spread, Odds and Over/Under

Spread:

49ers: -1.5 (-120)

Chiefs: +1.5 (+100)

Moneyline:

49ers: -135

Chiefs: +115

49ers vs. Chiefs Betting Trends

Andy Reid has one of the best records in the preseason when it comes to hitting the over. Kyle Shanahan is 6-6 in preseason over/unders. This game has the highest point total in Week 1 of the preseason and has the highest juice on the under.

49ers vs. Chiefs Prediction and Pick

I’m rolling with the 49ers in this one. The Chiefs are going to be conservative with how they play their $500 million dollar man. The 49ers are not only going to have their scheme from Shanahan, but also a top 3 pick as their quarterback to run the quarterback-friendly system.

Although both of these teams are explosive, it’s hard for me to see this game becoming a shootout. I’m going to be conservative, take the juice, and bet the under.
