The San Francisco 49ers and Minnesota Vikings have been competing all week in joint practices and on Saturday will finally get to compete for real… sort of.

It’s Week 2 of the preseason and Kyle Shanahan will be trying to get a better look at his team, specifically Trey Lance. Kevin O’Connell, the first year head coach in Minnesota will be trying to evaluate his side as well, but it is unclear if we will see Kirk Cousins in this one.

Minnesota is a substantial favorite in Week 2 of the preseason so let’s take a look at the odds from WynnBET Sportsbook.

49ers vs. Vikings Odds, Spread and Total

Spread

  • 49ers +5 (-110)
  • Vikings -5 (-110)

Moneyline

  • 49ers +180
  • Vikings -222

Total

  • 39 (Over -110 / Under -110)

49ers vs. Vikings Odds, Spread and Total Movement in NFL Preseason Week 2

The line has only moved slightly throughout the week and the total has stayed the same. The moneyline has held firm, but the spread went from 5.5 down to 5. Most books have it at 4.5 and WynnBET might continue to move in that direction as well.

49ers vs. Vikings Best Bet and Prediction

Earlier in the week I told you to take the 49ers when they were getting 5.5 points. They will give Trey Lance playing time because he definitely needs it for his development.

Lance is the best man to move the San Francisco offense and did it well a week ago in their 28-21 win over the Packers. The Vikings however, lost 26-20 and will be relying on Kellen Mond quite a lot in the preseason.

Mond is a young quarterback with some upside, but nothing compared to the electricity that Lance provides an offense.

Even with the line moving some I still like the 49ers, but if it gets to 4.5 I won’t like it as much. I do however think that points will be scored in this one with two offensively minded head coaches wanting to get extended looks at young QBs.

Lean: Over 39
