Injured or not, the 76ers still managed to win games. At least as long as Joel Embiid is in the lineup. Tonight, Embid and Co. are on the road in Washington to take on the Wizards at the Capital One Arena. The Sixers are 16-8 overall in away games this season and are in a good spot to add to that total. The 76ers are 16-11 in conference play and will meet the Wizards for the second time this season. The first game between these two ended in a 117-96 victory for the Sixers. Embiid, the fifth-ranked scorer in the NBA, led all scorers in that game with 36 points.

The Wizards, meanwhile are 12-8 at home and sixth in the Eastern Conference. They have split their last five games at 5-5 while averaging 114.4 points per game, 45.1 rebounds, and are shooting over 52 percent from the field. Here are the odds for this Eastern Conference showdown courtesy of WynnBET:

76ers vs. Wizards Prediction and Pick

The Wizards might be playing with one arm tied behind their backs with leading scorer Bradley Beal currently in health and safety protocols. He was joined yesterday by head coach Wes Unseld in another significant loss for this team. In their lone game with assistant Pat Delany at the helm, the Wizards gave up 46 points in the paint against the Trail Blazers. Washington will also be without Davis Bertans who is day-to-day but not expected to play Monday. The 76ers have no major injuries of note heading into Monday.

If the Wizards can’t defend down low again, Embiid is going to have a monster game. He has scored at least 30 points in 10 straight road games and is a big reason the Sixers are the best road team in the NBA. I think that trend continues here with a Philly win and cover to start the week.

Pick: 76ers -3.5 (-110)
