The best team in Colorado is the service academy in Colorado Springs: Air Force.

The Falcons throttled spiraling PAC-12 in-state foe, Colorado, on Saturday, 41-10. Air Force is set to be favored in every game this season, which can lead to a banner season for Troy Calhoun and his team. The squad opens Mountain West play at Wyoming on Friday night in hopes of getting off to a strong start.

Craig Bohl's team is in a rebuild and will be up against it facing Air Force's vaunted triple option, but can they cover a three possession spread?

Let's check out the odds from FanDuel Sportsbook:

Air Force vs. Wyoming Odds, Spread and Total

Air Force vs. Wyoming Betting Trends

  • Wyoming is 15-10 against the spread (ATS) as a home underdog with Craig Bohl as the coach
  • Air Force is 32-40 ATS as a favorite over the last 10 seasons
  • Double digit favorites on the road with a total below 50 are 46-28-2 ATS over the last five seasons

Air Force vs. Wyoming Prediction and Pick

This number has been blown out through the opener of -14 and I'm not as interested in the side. The Falcons are incredibly talented and should control this game against a rebuilding Wyoming team, and typically an Air Force style game is low scoring.

The team snuck over the closing total last week of 50.5 courtesy of a garbage time touchdown from Air Force, but the game was trending towards the under the whole way. I expect the Falcons to continue rolling on offense but in a methodical fashion.

Of course the clock bleeds with Air Force's triple option run game, and the Wyoming offense can't be expected to put up much of a fight. Outside of a chaotic home opener against Tulsa that ended 40-37, the team has struggled on offense. They scored six points against Illinois to open the season and averaged less than four yards per play against FCS Northern Colorado.

This has all the makings of a snoozer, and with Air Force likely getting their preferred game script, I'll look to the under as my favorite bet.
