While it's Conference Championship Week, we have one more regular season game to finish up.

Akron travels to Western New York to face Buffalo on Friday afternoon in a rescheduled MAC conference game from the blizzard of two weeks ago. While the stakes are low for a rebuilding Akron team that is off a thrashing of Northern Illinois last week to win their second game, Buffalo needs this win to qualify for a bowl.

Will the Bulls get it done at home in the season finale? Let's check out the odds and find out:

Akron vs. Buffalo Prediction and Pick

This is a strange setup given that the regular season is over outside of this one game, but I think we should see a strong effort from Bufflao, who is in the second year of Maurice Linguist's tenure, and would love to make a bowl game.

While I was keen on fading Buffalo to start MACtion last month, this defense is still top 40 in line yards and should be able to keep a lid on an Akron offense that can't run the ball at all, averaging less than three yards per carry. The Zips have zero presence on the offensive line, they have allowed 51 sacks this season, the third most in the country and will struggle to stay ahead of schedule.

Buffalo's offense has little big play ability, bottom half of the country in explosive run and pass rate as well as averaging less than five yards per play.

The team is also in a rare spot as a big favorite, favored by more than a touchdown one other time this season against UMass. Akron is actually noticeably more competitive than UMass this season, sticking within one score in three of four losses as well as blowing out Northern Illinois 44-12 last week.

I lean towards Akron covering, but considering the team just got a blowout win on the road last week, this rescheduled situation makes me pause, and I'd rather back the under with Buffalo's defense more than capable of slowing down Akron.
