Alabama vs. Florida Betting Trends
- Saban is 10-0 straight up against Dan Mullen between Mullen’s time as head coach for Mississippi State and Florida
- However, Mullen is 6-3-1 against the spread as an underdog since taking over at Florida in 2018
- Saban and the Crimson Tide have won their last seven against Florida by an average of more than 21 points, but didn’t cover as 16-point favorites in the SEC Championship Game last season, winning 52-46.
- Saban is dominant as an away favorite, posting a 33-22-1 record and covering by nearly six points per game as coach of Alabama.
- In the most dominant conference in the country, Saban is king, going 70-52-2 ATS against SEC foes.
- In those SEC games, Saban is 108-16 SU, only about 1% behind Ohio State for the best winning percentage in conference play since 2007.
- As a road favorite, Alabama games have gone over 31 times in 56 games with Saban as the head coach.
If Florida wins outright, it will join one of the few SEC teams to ever do it. Sitting as more than a two touchdown underdog, the Gators are going to need to rise to the occasion and hope to overwhelm Crimson Tide redshirt freshman quarterback Bryce Young.
However, history is not on UF's side, with Saban dominant going on the road and Young sitting as the considerable Heisman Trophy favorite right now, +230 at WynnBET.
