Alabama got a scare in the second half against Florida, but were able to withstand the Gators best punch, and hung on to win 31-29.

Bryce Young completed 22-of-35 passes in his first true road game as a starter along with three touchdowns. It looked like a cake walk for Bama after this touchdown to go up 14-3 first quarter.

The Crimson Tide's later went up 21-3 but the team's rush defense was suspect, allowing Florida to get bac into it. The Gators ran for nearly six yards per carry and were able to cash as a 14.5 home underdog.

Florida had a chance to tie it in the late fourth quarter, but did not convert the two-point, and Alabama was able to essentially run the clock out.

It wasn't the finest performance from the Tide, but the team will surely stay at No. 1 in next week's AP Poll. The team will play Southern Mississippi at home next Saturday.

The Gators showed up against the nation's best team, and will move on to face Tennessee at home in SEC action. Count on Dan Mullen to have his team motivated and erase this loss.
