Two of the SEC's elite meet when Alabama travels to face No. 1 Auburn. The Tigers are winners of 17 straight, including a road victory at Alabama on January 11th, 81-77.

The Crimson Tide have had an up-and-down season, but will look to establish some consistency after beating the reigning National Champions, Baylor, at home this past weekend. The Tide have wins over Gonzaga and Houston in addition to the Bears, but have dropped games to SEC bottom feeders Missouri and Georgia.

Which Alabama team will we see on Tuesday? Let's first check out the odds from WynnBET Sportsbook.

Alabama vs. Auburn Prediction and Pick

While many will announce that Alabama is back after an impressive win over Baylor, I'm not so sure. The betting market has bet the Crimson Tide down from +7.5 at open to +6 but I envision their offense struggling against one of the most formidable frontcourts in the nation of Auburn.

Bruce Pearl has future top three pick Jabari Smith and 7'1" rim protector Walker Kessler holding foes to 43% on two-point shots, the 12th best mark in the country.

Alabama is a poor three-point shooting team, 288th in the country from the perimeter and thrive on getting inside and finish (6th best two-point field goal percentage). With that being said, I'm going to side with the home team holding down the paint on both sides of the floor, Auburn is the best in the country in block percentage and the Tide are bottom 100 in defensive rebounding rate.

In the first meeting, Kessler battled foul trouble all game and was limited to 13 minutes. AU still got the four point road victory. If Kessler can avoid foul trouble, expect the Tigers to hold down the paint once again.

I'm going to wait and see where this number settles, but I'm going to be interested in betting Auburn at -6, this number has moved too far. The Tigers are a cut above and should be able to outpace the Crimson Tide, who are going to struggle to keep their level up after a physical win over Baylor.
