Alabama vs. Kentucky Prediction and Odds (Trust Kentucky To Win Comfortably)
By Matt De Saro
This is my must-watch game of the day in college basketball. The No. 4 Kentucky Wildcats and No. 25 Alabama Crimson Tide are set to do battle at the Rupp Arena this afternoon. The Wildcats are back home licking their wounds after getting beat down by Tennessee their last timeout 76-63. It was their first loss since Jan 22 when they were beaten by No. 2 Auburn. But, the Volunteers are no Auburn and this recent loss feels a bit more problematic.
The Crimson Tide, meanwhile, head into this SEC clash having won three in a row after dropping back-to-back games to ranked teams Auburn and Kentucky. Alabama is in a good spot to play for a spot of revenge if they can fix the issues that plagued them in their previous 66-55 loss to the Wildcats. Here are the odds for this SEC showdown, courtesy of WynnBET Sportsbook.
Alabama vs. Kentucky Odds, Spread, and Total

- Alabama +6.5 (-110)
- Kentucky -6.5 (-110)

Alabama vs. Kentucky Prediction and Pick
The Crimson Tide continues to be one of the more confounding teams to bet on in college basketball. Some games they look like they could lead the SEC and others make me wonder how they managed to climb to the fifth spot in the conference. There is no questioning their talent though and they have proven able to hang with any team in the conference on a good night. While Alabama might not have the stats or the record of their rivals, it should be noted that, according to KenPom, the Crimson Tide have had the toughest schedule in the nation.
We talk a lot about rankings here but having the country’s hardest schedule isn’t usually one of them. This will be the ninth game that Alabama has played against a ranked team. However, in those games, the Crimson Tide is just 2-6 ATS. They are also 1-2 ATS as road underdogs and 2-5 ATS in their last seven road matchups.
As much as I want to snag the value of Bama on the road, I just don’t see it happening for them. They are far too inconsistent and I think the schedule finally wore them down. Alabama is just 1-4 ATS in their last five and 2-10 ATS in their last 12 and I see another ATS loss to a ranked team in their future.
Lean: Kentucky -6.5
