Allen Robinson Primed for Massive Season With Rams in 2022
The reigning Super Bowl Champs lost Robert Woods midway through the season last year and replaced him with Odell Beckham Jr. This season, it doesn’t look like OBJ will be a Ram, but Los Angeles isn’t worried because they signed Allen Robinson to fill the void – and they are extremely excited about what he can do in this offense.
Robinson is coming off the worst year of his career (not counting 2017 because he was injured). He had a career low in targets, yards and touchdowns. Yet, the Rams feel that with Matthew Stafford, a Super Bowl winning offense, and Sean McVay present, they can get the most from Robinson.
Draftkings has his season long receiving yards prop set at 825 yards, with -115 odds on both sides. There’s going to be a lot of opportunity for Robinson to be successful in the Rams offense. We all know that Cooper Kupp is going to be the first option, but the second receiver spot is now open with OBJ still a free agent and Robert Woods in Tennessee.
Robinson will likely compete with Van Jefferson for the second receiver spot. Jefferson finished with 802 yards, started all 17 games and caught 6 touchdowns. Between Woods, OBJ and Desean Jackson gone, there’s over 1,000 yards unaccounted for in the Rams’ offense this year.
The hope is that Robinson’s regression last season was because of the Bears’ terrible situation and not the cause of him being washed up. If he can jump in the same fountain of youth that OBJ did, expect big things from Robinson.
