Anytime Touchdown Scorer Picks for Steelers vs. Chiefs: Bet on Key Kansas City Targets
By Matt De Saro
The Pittsburgh Steelers and Kansas City Chiefs close out the first Sunday of the playoffs with an AFC showdown at Arrowhead Stadium. With a ton of offensive talent on tap, this should be a shootout in what could be Ben Roethlisberger's final game in the NFL.
The full betting preview for this game can be found here, but I wanted to take a quick look over the anytime player props and make a few picks for this playoff clash. All odds used are provided by WynnBET Sportsbook.
Best Anytime TD Scorers for Eagles vs. Buccaneers
- Travis Kelce -200
- Byron Pringle +220
- Patrick Mahomes +320
Travis Kelce -200
At these odds, this is more of an addition for a parlay, but a very good one in my estimation. Kelce is Mahomes’ favorite target and it shows. The tight end has found the end zone four times over his last three games and has been a scary matchup in the red zone for years now. Tyreek Hill is playing hurt and Clyde Edwards-Helaire is out, so Kelce should see even more attention. The Steelers' secondary does not have the chops to slow down Kelce, let alone stop him.
Byron Pringle +220
Pringle could be a major benefactor if Hill’s injury limits him more than expected. Either way, Pringle will see more touches than most weeks and could have a big game for the Chiefs. While he only has five touchdowns this season, two of those touchdowns came against the Steelers three weeks ago. It was his best game of the season. The Steelers have allowed 21 different receivers to score a TD against them and I think Pringle makes it on that list for a second time.
Patrick Mahomes +320
While Mahomes isn’t known as a “dual-threat” quarterback, he is mobile and capable on the ground. He doesn’t normally need to take the game into his own hands like that, however, in the playoffs, the Chiefs have a habit of letting Mahomes put in some significant work on the ground. Specifically in the red zone. Consider this, Mahomes has eight regular-season rushing touchdowns in his entire career. But, in eight playoff games, Mahomes has four rushing touchdowns and almost twice as many rushing attempts. He is +2200 to be the first to score for those of you feeling lucky today.
