Two teams coming off of two vastly different opening games meet in College Station on Saturday.

Appalachian State lost one of the craziest games of the weekend, 63-61 to North Carolina after rattling off 41 points in the fourth quarter. Now, they must regroup and face No. 6 Texas A&M, who disposed of FCS foe Sam Houston State 31-0 last week at home.

How should we bet this one with a massive spread? Here are the odds from FanDuel Sportsbook:

Appalachian State vs. Texas A&M Prediction and Pick

This total is trickling down despite the Mountaineers hanging 61 points on North Carolina, and it's for good reason. This Texas A&M defense is one of the best in the country and should have a massive athleticism advantage on the App State offensive line.

Chase Brice had a career day for the Mountaineers in the loss, completing 65% of his passes for 361 yards in six touchdowns, but I don't envision he will have the time to throw against an elite A&M pass rush. This is an SEC defensive line that was 11th in sacks last season. This is not the same unit as the team must replace several key contributors from last season, but they also are reloading with blue chip prospects, making bullish in this particular matchup.

On the other side, Texas A&M is going to play ball control against one of the best G5 defenses in the country. While North Carolina was able to light up this defense, the Aggies play at one of the slowest tempos in the country and will be content just pounding the rock away.

Keep in mind that Jimbo Fisher's team has Miami on deck in what will be one of the biggest games of the year, if the team gets up early they can really pack this one in and try to run the clock out.

I see a massive edge for the A&M defense against Chase Brice, and I think that the Aggies are content playing a slow tempo, leading me to the under.

PICK: UNDER 54
