The Utah Utes host the 22nd ranked Arizona State Sun Devils Saturday as the visitors look to extend their three-game win streak on the road. The Sun Devils come off a relatively easy 28-10 win over the Stanford Cardinal Friday night as they were dominant on booth sides of the ball to a point which the score doesn’t really reflect. ASU ran for 255 yards and three touchdowns along with snagging three interceptions and limiting Stanford to 13 yards rushing.

Meanwhile. Utah put up an impressive win of their own last weekend, smoking USC 42-26 on the road. Cameron Rising threw for 306 yards with three touchdowns and no turnovers. Utah was effective on the ground as well, rushing for 180 yards and a trio of scores.

Now that we’re all caught up, let’s go over the odds for this game at WynnBET along with a pick.

Arizona State vs. Utah Prediction and Pick

Arizona State enters this game in Utah having won three of their last four on the road thanks to some stellar play from QB Jayden Daniels. While the youngster must work a bit on ball security, having surrendered three interceptions in six games, he has passed for four TDs and 1,269 total yards. Daniels’ two main weapons, Curtis Hodges and Ricky Persall will be kept busy this weekend and looked to when the running game needs some space to operate.

Despite the solid QB play from Arizona State, their real talent is in the running game. Led by Rashaad White, the Sun Devils average 214.3 yards per game on the ground, good enough for the 20th best in the nation. Meanwhile, Utah ranks 63rd in stopping the run, allowing 147.5 YPG on the season. I think that this is where Arizona puts its focus on and uses its superior ground game to chip away at Utah.

It is not as if Utah enters this game with nothing to fight back with. They have won four straight on the road and Rising has been very strong under center for the Utes. Despite only passing for 625 yards so far this year, Rising has seven passing touchdowns and zero interceptions. Utah also has a strong group of runners who are averaging 169.2 yards per game.

While I do think that Arizona is slightly a better team, I think Utah at home is a different monster. If this game was on neutral ground, my opinion might change but at home, Utah gets the edge.

PREDICTION: Utah Utes +1 (-110)
