Arizona State vs. Washington Prediction and Odds (Bet Huskies to Win at Home)
By Reed Wallach
The late night PAC 12 game goes down in Spokane, Washington when the Huskies host Arizona State.
Both of these teams are underwhelming this season, but the Sun Devils have the more notable win of late after beating UCLA at home last weekend in triple overtime. However, are they being overvalued as short road underdogs?
Here are the odds for this conference showdown courtesy of WynnBET Sportsbook.
Arizona State vs. Washington Odds, Spread and Total
Spread:
- Arizona State: +1 (-110)
- Washington: -1 (-110)
Moneyline:
- Arizona State: +100
- Washington: -120
Total: 138 (Over -110/Under -110)
Arizona State vs. Washington Prediction and Pick
I can't get there with this number with Arizona State as such short underdogs. The Sun Devils have won one game away from home this season and may struggle against Washington's zone defense that generates turnovers at a top 20 clip this season.
Meanwhile, the Huskies have shown some signs of life, winning six of their last eight conference games including four at home. The team is adept at getting down hill and getting to the free throw line where they rank inside the top 100 in the country. Meanwhile the Sun Devils are bottom 100 in opponents free throw rate.
This game may not be pretty, but if the Huskies are able to get out and transition and generate enough easy opportunities it can be enough to push ahead of a possibly tired ASU team that doesn't play as fast as the home team. Washington can dictate the tempo, which they play at the 56th fastest, and make this Arizona State team uncomfortable in the half court.
I lean towards the Huskies getting the job done at home, I believe the ASU win over UCLA is resonating to much in bettors minds.
LEAN: Washington -1
