Many college football fans had high hopes for the Washington Huskies heading into the season, but they fell the FCS Montana in Week 1 and never managed to fully recover. They now sit with an overall record of 4-5 and a conference record of 3-3 as they prepare for another Pac-12 matchup against Arizona State.

The Sun Devils got off to a hot start to their season, but dropped two in a row to Utah and Washington State which has severely hindered their chances of winning the conference. They bounced back last week with a 31-16 over USC, but they'll have to win out if they want any hope of reaching the Pac-12 championship game.

Arizona State vs. Washington Prediction and Pick

Arizona State has dominated Washington in recent history, going 13-0 ATS against them dating back to 2002. I'm going to back that trend to continue this weekend.

Both defenses are extremely comparable. Arizona State ranks 31st in opponent yards per play, and Washington is right behind them at 34th in that statistic. Where the two teams differ greatly is their offensive production.

The Sun Devils rank sixth in the country in yards per play at 6.7, while the Huskies rank 91st at 5.2. With the two defenses having almost identical numbers, you can put a lot of stock into this stark offensive difference.

I'll back the Sun Devils to get it done on Saturday.

Pick: Arizona State: -6
