Arizona vs. Utah Prediction and Odds (Target the Total)
By Reed Wallach
Arizona heads for the dreaded mountain road trip with two games in three days against Utah and Colorado. There's no denying that Arizona is the class of the PAC 12 this season, but they will look to solidify their No. 1 seed candidacy in the NCAA Tournament with some record padding wins over a PAC 12 bottom feeder like Utah on Thursday night.
Here are the odds for the late night conference matchup from WynnBET Sportsbook:
Arizona vs. Utah Odds, Spread and Total
Spread:
- Arizona: -11 (-110)
- Utah: +11 (-110)
Moneyline:
- Arizona: -650
- Utah: +475
Total: 150.5 (Over -110/Under -110)
Arizona vs. Utah Prediction and Pick
Utah's big man Branden Carlson is back on the injury report and will be a game time decision for this one. He is the only player who has a prayer at keeping up with the loaded Zona frontcourt that has the sixth best two-point percentage on offense and is limiting foes to 40% on their two-point tries on defense (second best in the country).
I don't see many clean looks for the Utes to score, but I do believe they can limit the amount of possessions that Arizona gets. The team is fine at protecting the ball, and Arizona tracks towards the bottom of the conference in PAC 12 turnover rate. The team should be able to move methodically on offense and keep this one to a low possession game, which is good to go under on with a total this high.
This is also the first of a tough road trip for the Wildcats at altitude and the team may take their first off the gas if they build a big lead. It's never pretty, but I'm leaning towards going under., The first meeting between the two featured 146 points on a fairly efficient outing from both teams from the interior and the charity stripe. I have this one pegged for 148.5 points so that's my best look for this late night showdown.
LEAN: UNDER 150.5
