Washington's season has quickly gone off the rails, losing on the road for the second straight game, this time to Arizona State, 45-38.

The Huskies defense has been exposed as an anchor to the team's PAC-12 title hopes and now they face another high powered offense in Arizona. Can Michael Penix outgun transfer quarterback Jayden de Laura and get the team back on track?

Arizona vs. Washington Prediction and Pick

Yes, the total is 72.5, and yes I think that the over is a valuable side based on how poor these two secondary's are.

We'll start with the Huskies, who are 116th in EPA/Play against the pass and will be facing an Arizona offense that is full of playmakers in the passing game. Jayden de Laura has a big arm and a knack for making plays (and also throwing inexplicable turnovers) and the team has thrived through the air with UTEP transfer Jacob Cowing.

Arizona is 35th in success rate this season and is top 40 in both points per drive and yards per play. The team also plays at a frenetic tempo, inside the top 25 in plays per minute this season, and should not deviate from that on Saturday on the road as a two touchdown underdog.

Meanwhile, the Arizona defense is far worse than the Huskies, who are 115th in success rate allowed through the air and dead last nationally in success rate. Washington is 26th in yards per play and has a fantastic offensive line that is second nationally in tackles for loss allowed.

Washington's offense should push six touchdowns in this one while Arizona's fast tempo can set the pace to get in the end zone their fair share. The over is high, but I'm not sure we are high enough just yet.
