The No. 4 Arizona Wildcats are on absolute fire right now and enter this important conference game against the Washington State Cougars as seven-point favorites on the road. The Wildcats are 9-1 in their last 10 games with the lone loss coming to No. 7 UCLA. During that span, the Wildcats got revenge over UCLA who was ranked third at the time. They also beat No. 19 USC in the last month.

The only two games the Wildcats lost were to ranked teams and the Cougars most certainly not on that level. At 14-7, the Cougars are having a nice season and come into this game riding a four-game win streak.

The Cougars are making a push for the NCAA tournament and have a lot to like about them. But, they are still going into this game outmatched.

Arizona vs. Washington State Prediction and Pick

On any other night against any other team, I would take a long look at the Cougars at +230 to win this game outright. However, with the way the Wildcats have been playing, it is very hard to trust anyone to cover, let alone win outright as an underdog.

Washington State, admittedly, has a fantastic defense. They rank 23rd in the nation in opponent scoring and 26th in assists surrendered. Their offense isn’t half bad either, ranking 96th in scoring and 51st in total rebounds per game. This article is not about how Washington State is a bad team, rather it is about is how much better Arizona is. And I think it is more than seven points better.

The Wildcats enter this game with the third highest-scoring offense in the nation and are winning games by an average of 20 points. That is second only to Gonzaga. They lead the nation in assists per game and rebounds per game as well. On the defensive end, they are above average but not amazing. However, with their offense producing at such a high level, the defense is more than good enough to keep them in games.

As betting favorites on the road, Arizona is 4-1-1 against the spread and I think they add a win to that record tonight.

Pick: Arizona -7 (-110)
