Last week was a bye week for two teams that desperately needed one.

Arkansas was ranked as high as No. 10 this season, but needed to win a shootout with BYU just to get back over .500. The Razorbacks are 4-3 and Auburn is even worse off. The Tigers are 3-4 and most recently lost 48-34 to Ole Miss. The Tigers may be on their way to firing their coach Bryan Harsin in the near future and another home conference loss could be it for him.

We will see which team looks better coming out of their bye and maybe if either of these SEC squads can turn their season around. Both have tough schedules ahead and neither is a lock to end the season bowl-eligible.

Arkansas vs. Auburn Prediction and Pick

Arkansas has allowed the fourth most passing yards per game this season. That is their biggest weakness and the main reason for their poor record. Lucky for them, Auburn is 102nd in the country in passing offense, and their quarterback, Robby Ashford, completed just 8/17 passes against Ole Miss for 140 yards and two interceptions.

The Arkansas run defense isn’t great, but it is a lot better than their pass D. They rank 63rd in the country in rush yards allowed per game, so Tank Bigsby could have a big day. Bigsby went for 179 and two TDs against Ole Miss, but that was his first game over 100 yards since the Tigers played Mercer in the first game of the season.

The biggest factor will be Auburn’s rush defense which is 120th in the country, allowing 204.4 yards per game and can find a way to stop Arkansas and Rocket Sanders. Sanders averages 6.2 yards per carry and has 870 rush yards on the season. Along with KJ Jefferson, he has led the Razorbacks to become a top 10 offense on the ground.

The Razorbacks will run all over Auburn this week and Auburn won’t be able to take advantage of their secondary. Arkansas will win big.

Pick: Arkansas -3.5 (-110)
