Army vs. Wake Forest Prediction and Pick
These two played in one of the craziest games of the season last year, a 70-56 win for the Demon Decans in a game that featured over 1,100 yards of total offense. Wake Forest averaged over 12 yards per play in that one and there's reason to believe that they will be able to put up a big number on the scoreboard yet again.
However, can Army keep this game within striking distance? I think so considering the Demon Deacons still struggle against the run. Last year, the Black Knights rushed for 416 yards and this Wake Forest rush defense remains a massive concern, 112th in EPA/Play when defending the run this season.
Not to mention, Wake is coming off of an overtime loss to Clemson and then a road win against Florida State. With short prep for the Army triple option, expecting this game to stay somewhat close on the scoreboard is reasonable.
